We are having a new computer system!

We are changing our computer system for the better on the 29th May. This will mean that there will be some changes to both booking appointments & repeat prescription requests during the time running up to and during the changeover. We are drawing this to your attention as early as possible to try and make the change-over go smoothly.

This new and improved system will mean an easier, improved facility to access on-line appointment booking and the repeat prescriptions service.

Online repeat prescriptions: From the 1st May, we will temporarily cease taking new applications to use the online repeat medication service. If you are already registered, you can continue to use the online facility through our website until further notice. Please note, after the changeover, the system will be different and you will be issued with new login and password details. Details on how to obtain these will be available here on the website or in Reception. This login can also be used to access the new on-line appointment booking facility.

Repeat prescriptions: Where possible, we may give you two months medication when you order your repeat prescription in May. This will mean that we will have reduced requests during the changeover time. In the initial week, the turnaround time might be slightly longer.

Booking of appointments: By telephone or in person: there will be some reduction in the number of pre-bookable appointments for the end of May / beginning of June – but an increase in ‘book on the day’ appointments.  

On-Line booking of appointments: We will be switching this off with effect from 21st May. Please note, after the changeover, the system will be different and you will be issued with new login and password details. Details on how to obtain these will be available on the website or in Reception. This login can also be used to access the repeat prescription facility.
