Government changes in the NHS

West New Forest Locality of the Clinical Commissioning Group

As we are sure you are aware, there are many changes occurring within the NHS. The Arnewood practice is part of West New Forest Locality of the West Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). This is a group of 11 GP practices who have come together to commission services for their patient populations in response to the NHS “White Paper”. The aims of the “White Paper” is to improve the efficiency of the NHS by restructuring the roles and responsibilities of relevant groups, and to improve the care that is delivered by all providers within the budget that is set by the Department of Health.

The West Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Group has a website designed to provide local people with information about the CCG, who’s who in the group, the aims, which areas it covers and more information on who the CCG is working with and how local people can get involved. It also provides an easy route to get in contact, find the latest news and find local services in their area.
